💡 Think:
Ingrained within each and every one of us is the basic need for shelter. It’s one of the most essential, basic needs we have.
Yet when we build that shelter, we don’t merely look for blank walls and a bed - we customize it, we transform the houses that we stay in, to homes in which we express our quirks and idiosyncrasies.
This innate desire is an expression of G-d’s own desire to be felt and found down here. We want to be found and expressed in this world, because the Creator of all does as well. We want to express our transcendent needs in the mundane, as does He.
This mission to express the divine in the mundane, the transcend through the intricacies of personal detail, was explored 71 years ago this week by the Rebbe in his inaugural address. (You can hear the original Yiddish audio from 1951 here) It’s a theme he would return to time and again throughout his thousands of hours of talks.
Profoundly, since nothing is coincidence, this week also break ground on the expansion of our Tech Tribe HQ space!
We look forward to greeting you soon in a dwelling place where can all get in touch the transcendent!
