💡 Think:
In this week’s Torah portion we’re given a peak at Kfitzas Haderech - the Talmudic ‘hyperspace’ that the sages noted certain Biblical personalities experienced.
And [Jacob] arrived at the place and lodged there because the sun had set, and he took some of the stones of the place and placed [them] at his head, and he lay down in that place.
—Genesis 28:11
“And he arrived at, as in "and he reached." Our Rabbis interpreted [the word “vayifga - arrived”] as an expression of prayer. This teaches us that Jacob instituted the evening prayer. The Torah did not write vayispalel, [the usual expression for prayer], to teach that the earth sprang toward him.”

Time and space are limited constructs - finite structures that G-d Constantly creates. The Torah transcends the world - that's why the sages say that the Torah proceeded Creatio. It is through the Torah that G-d expresses his transcends the finite natural matrix.
We can stop and touch that transcendance as well. When we stop and make a space to study Torah, so that our minds can become one with the infinite Creator, and pray, so that ours souls can cleave to their Source, then we experience a state of hasidic hyperspace, we step beyond the confines of our physical world and travel to, arrive at, reach that place we want to be.
