💡 Think:
Think about the lessons we can learn from a computer. The original computers were conceived as calculating devices - means of replacing what could be done over the course of several hours, days or even years with a pen and paper.
The programmers who coded the computer made it for specific uses, yet we see today that computers are used in many unintended fields. They’ve transcended the world of adding machines and electric slide rules and become the definitive, means of communication, creation and community of our time.
The computer uses its processing power for untold uses by applying its source code to whatever new case that may arise. In that syncopation of binary 1s and 0s found in machine code is born the tools for unfathomable creation.
We Jews have the ability to adapt to changes in the world through looking to our source code: the Torah. The syncopation of Hebrew letters builds words, which build worlds, internally and externally.
