💡 Think:
Reb Zusha of Anipoli famously said on his deathbed. “When I go above to Heaven, I am not worried that they’ll ask me, ‘Zusha, why weren’t you like Moses.’ For G-d has already created Moses. I am not worried that they will ask me, ‘Zusha, why weren’t you like Abraham?” for G-d has already created Abraham.
I am afraid, however, of being asked, ‘Zusha, why weren’t you like Zusha?’”
Each and every one of us is uniquely qualified to accomplish something in this world.
G-d creates nothing for nought.
If you and I are both here, that means there is something that I can do, that you - and each and every person from the very beginning of time until the end - can not do. And there is something that you can do, that I - and each and every person from the very beginning of time until the end - can not do.
So let us try and reach that purpose . . . of being ourselves.

A second track from the An-sky and Kiselgof collection. The delightfully sweet tune of a chasidic Jew studying the Talmud, recorded on a cylinder a century ago.
🎬 Watch:
Rabbi Chaim Bruk was the subject of a wonderful documentary called The Rabbi Goes West. It’s a look at the work he and his wife Chavie Bruk with their family do in Montana. It’s also a fascinating look at the dynamics and fluidity of Jewish life outside the silos in the big cities.
It’s up for pre-order now, and streaming starting from May 24th!
🙌 Congrats!
