💡 Think:
Before Yom Kippur, we wanted to share a thought with you - one that speaks to the core sense of meaning and purpose we like to share - and would mean so much to us if you read.
How does Yom Kippur bring the power for forgiveness? How can we ever hope to make up what where we've missed out?
The answer lies in the essence of how Judaism understands teshuvah - often translated as resentence, the word really means to return - to return to our essence and who we really are.
On Yom Kippur we peel back the layers of the onion, we delve inside ourselves and transcend the limitations we impose up our potential, the shells that we use to hide our light... and get in touch with our essence. Who we really are.
We connect to a part of ourselves that is constantly united with its source - utterly whole with G-d and with with ourselves. We connect to place where no misdeed, mistake or misgiving in the world could ever hope to touch. We connect with a place that transcends any mistakes - and thus can bring true atonement ... at-one-ment to our lives.
