At a Jewish wedding, the chatan and kallah, the groom and bride, stand under the chupah canopy. The canopy surrounds them - it transcends their details. At that moment, everything that they’ve built in their lives, the spiritual manifestations of the beautiful deeds they, their hopes and prayers, the hopes and prayers of their ancestors - all hang in transcendent balance above them.
And right here, right now… it permeates their essence.
