We cannot see, hear, or smell electricity. It is a foundational force that flows through all of creation - yet it remains concealed to our senses. We can, however, observe its effects - the crackle in the air, the smell of ozone, the physical jolt of something that encounters it, the lights it can power when it runs through the wires. We know it by what it does.
So too with the soul, that vivifying spark of G-dliness that is found in our hearts, that permeates our bodies: We can not relate to it through our senses - but if we tap into that infinite essence that dwells within us, we can channel it to illuminate the darkest of nights - to bring light and warmth to the world around us.
