💡 Think:
Today is Pesach Sheni, the “Second Passover.” The Torah relates that one month after the Passover offering in the desert, a group of Jews approached Moses with a quandary: They had been ritually impure, unable to offer the sacrifice. “Why,” they asked, “Should we lose out?” They asked for a second chance to bring the Passover offering… and it was granted.
.
So, while all the people celebrated Passover at its proper time, and one finds him or herself "far away," or otherwise unfit to enter the Sanctuary, it is told: Do not despair; begin your way towards the Sanctuary — come closer for you have a special chance and oppurtunity to celebrate the Second Passover, if you try hard enough.1
No matter who you are, where you are or what you were doing - We can always reconnect, since within us is the power to bridge the divide - of time, of space, and find that unity we seek.
